SigningOnline.com adds choice in digital video formats

Mason, MI – May 14, 2003 – In an effort to increase flexibility and reduce the barriers to entry, Signing Online, LLC has added a choice in digital video formats to www.signingonline.com. Now users can select between QuickTime and Flash video.

"Since the launch of SigningOnline.com, QuickTime video has been our de facto standard, with its high-quality video playback, multitude of features, and strong consumer adoption," said Brian Winn, CTO of Signing Online. "By adding Flash-based video, our users now have a choice of digital video formats. This should reduce the number of users that have to download and install software prior to accessing the video content on the site. Further, it positions the site to be more accessible to a larger variety of operating systems and hardware platforms."

“We are committed to providing the best online experience for our growing number of students learning sign language," states David Stewart, CEO of Signing Online. "The addition of multiple video formats is just one way we are achieving that end."
